The Wings and Wheels Poker Run is the perfect opportunity to showcase your poker skills and win big! What is a Poker Run?
A poker run involves visiting several checkpoints and collecting a playing card at each stop. The objective is to have the best poker hand by the end the run. You can start at any of the designated airports and meet up with other participants at the final airport to reveal your hands and claim prizes. Players can purchase as many hands and /or extra cards as they desire at the final airport.

Who can participate?
Whether you're a pilot looking to take to the skies or a non-pilot looking to hit the road, this event is open everyone.
How much is the entry fee?
Each hand is $20, purchased at your first airport. Players may purchase any number of hands (score cards).
NO PRE-REGISTRATION NECESSARY!
Which airports are on the route?
The 2024 Poker Run airport stops are:

BJC (Broomfield - Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport) - TERMINUS will be held at Sheltair Aviation located at 9107 Rocky Road, Broomfield, CO 80021
Do I Have to Land or stop at Every Airport?
While we encourage traveling to every airport for the cross-country experience, it is not mandatory If you choose not to land at an airport, you can still complete your hand by picking up the remaining cards at the terminus. Remember, this is not a race! Please take your time and be safe. If weather is marginal at one of the airports we may not use it. Call Amanda at 970-901-4355 by 8 AM if weather is “dicey” and you will be given instructions.
What time should I arrive at the Terminus?
Please arrive at Sheltair Aviation KBJC by 12:30pm at the latest and park in the transient parking area in front of the terminal building. The Colorado Pig Rig will be serving up some delicious BBQ for purchase, and prizes will be awarded at 1:30pm. Please note that you must present to win any prizes.
Other important info.
One card per hand is drawn at each airport. You will receive a bonus card at 3 airports, giving you a total of 7 cards to make your best 5-card hand.
Scoring: Standard Five Card Draw. No Jokers or Wild cards. Points will be assessed not only for hands, but card values within hands. Your hands will be put onto a score sheet for tallying upon arriving at the terminus.
